A Bloor Derby Porcelain plate decorated with a blue and gilt border,

In the centre of the plate is a hand painted scene of Bywell Castle Northumberland ,

to the back of the plate is circular  BLOOR DERBY mark which was applied with the thumb and painted in red script Bywell Castle Northumberland.

The hand painted scene on the plate was copied from 1814 engraving by J Greig and from a painting by G Arnald A.R.A.

Bywell Castle which was built in 1430 by the Neville Family “Earl of Westmorland” and the remains are still standing over looking the river Tyne

Circa: 1820.

Size: 22.5 cm in diameter.

Condition: Good, just some of the gilding round the centre touched in.
