Description

A Staffordshire figure, depicting the poem, Auld Lang Syne, taken from an illustration of the poem in 1841 by John Masey Wright and John Rogers .  The song Auld Lang Syne, is traditionally sung to bid farewell to the old year at the stroke of Midnight on New Year’s Eve.  The text of the song is taken from a poem written by Robert Burns in 1788.
