A Staffordshire figure of a Boy and Girl probably brother and sister.

 A girl sat holding a rabbit along side the hutch and a boy is holding  a wooden hoop and a stick ,

The hoop was driven along  with the stick this was known as hoop rolling or trundling,  it was both a sport and a child’s game earlier hoops from the 17th and 18th century were made of metal but wooden ones  became very popular in Victorian times when this piece of pottery was made

Circa: 1860.
